The film "Onder het Maaiveld" unveils the unseen. The inspiring film wonders and gives insight into our soil. There are more living things in one teaspoon of healthy soil than there are people on earth. We are about to take the biggest turn in the history of our dealings with nature. We have to but how do we go about it and learn to use our soil more wisely? The film will be shown after a lecture by Boudewijn Tooren.
Boudewijn Tooren is active for the agenda Natuurinclusief of Ministry LNV, Herenboer first hour, and founder of Creabitat. He connects living, working, recreation, food, landscape, and nature to create a regional economy where the intertwining ensures sustainable business cases. Creabitat stands for accessible living in a self-sufficient green living area, within a close community with healthy, locally sourced food and self-generated clean energy.

Paul van de Wildenberg & Jan Ketelaars. Documentary.
In the mid-1980s, Tilburg seemed lost. The influence of Catholicism waned, and the disappearance of the textile industry literally left gaps in the city, lacking a true city center. This classic documentary takes you into the mood and atmosphere of Tilburg city life in the '80s. The black and white footage stimulates the imagination and presents a stark contrast to contemporary Tilburg. The film will be introduced by Teuntje van de Wouw.
Teuntje van de Wouw is a creative art historian in the archival field. She studied Graphic Design at AKV | St. Joost in Breda, followed by art history at Utrecht University. She worked for several years as an exhibition maker and curator in the cultural sector. Since 2020, she has been working at the Regional Archive Tilburg as a project leader for images and sound. Prior to the film 'City,' she will discuss the development of Tilburg since the '80s.
